STARZ

Device Management

STARZ limits the number of devices on an account. If you exceed the number of devices, you will be prompted to remove devices from your account or start a new subscription to continue using the service.

Removing Devices

The ‘Manage Devices’ page is available on starz.com under settings. It can be accessed through a computer or mobile web browser but not through TV browsers or the STARZ app.

From here, you will see all the devices on your account. You can then review this list and remove any devices you wish. Any removed devices will be logged out. You can continue using the service once you have removed enough devices to be below the limit.

Cannot Delete a Device

You cannot delete the device used to review the device manager, also labeled as your 'Current Session.' However, if you cannot delete a different device, don't hesitate to contact our Customer Care team using the chat option to the right. Include a screenshot of the device management page and the device you wish to delete. We will happily investigate why a specific device cannot be deleted.

Inaccurate Location

We report the location your ISP provides for a given IP address. This location is always approximate and can even be incorrectly reported by your ISP. The most common issue is reporting a nearby city, but it is not uncommon to report a location in a different state. We recommend cross-referencing the device name before deleting any devices or changing your password.

Multiple Reports of the Same Device

Some devices will show a new entry every time you reinstall the app, and others will report a second time if they have not been used for an extended period. In these cases, we recommend removing the old device.

Potentially Compromised Account

If you believe your account has been compromised, we recommend selecting the ‘Log Out Everywhere’ option on the ‘Settings’ page and changing your password through the ‘Change Password’ option.

Preventing Future Notifications

Keeping track of your device is essential to preventing this prompt, and we recommend regularly reviewing the device management page.

Please note that STARZ will not allow exceptions to the number of devices permitted per account and that the STARZ team cannot remove devices on your behalf. Our Customer Care Team is here to assist you in walking you through this process and answering your questions. If you still have questions, please select the chat option to the right for more support.
