When trying to log in to STARZ through your cable or satellite provider, you may encounter one of the following messages when using an Apple device:<ul><li>&quot;Not authorized&quot; error message</li><li>401 error message</li><li>A message stating you have no subscription</li><li>Being prompted to accept Adobe</li></ul>This is related to the automatic login setting on the Apple device. We recommend turning this setting off on your Apple device.Steps to turn off automatic sign-in (SSO):&nbsp;<ul><li>From the device&#39;s main menu</li><li>Go into settings</li><li>Select account</li><li>Select TV provider</li><li>A list of apps will be displayed</li><li>Find and select the STARZ app</li><li>Toggle that automatic login setting to off&nbsp;</li><li>Reopen the STARZ app</li><li>If prompted to accept Adobe, select yes</li><li>Log into the app</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;

Unable to log in through cable or satellite provider on an Apple device

You may encounter this error on an Apple device when you try to log in to your STARZ account.<img src="https://faqs.starz.com/hc/article_attachments/360004426814/image1.png" alt="image1.png" class="fr-fic fr-dii">The error tends to be a symptom that you are outside the US, behind a Proxy, or on a VPN (Virtual Private Network). You can check to see if your device is connecting to the internet through a VPN and turn it off, which will fix this. Note that STARZ does not support the use of a VPN to access its content.&nbsp; Turning off a VPN through an Apple device:<ul><li>Go to the device&rsquo;s Settings</li><li>Go to General</li><li>Scroll down and click on VPN</li><li>A toggle to the right can be switched off if a VPN is turned on.&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;<img src="https://faqs.starz.com/hc/article_attachments/360057821254/mceclip0.png" alt="mceclip0.png" class="fr-fic fr-dii">

Apple device - "Error: Login failed"

Using Airplay, you can send STARZ content from an iPhone or iPad to your Apple TV. Any iPhone or iPad that is running the latest iOS can AirPlay content.Instructions:<ul><li>Connect your iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV to the same Wi-Fi network.</li><li>Launch the STARZ app on your phone/iPad.</li><li>Select the STARZ title of your choice and press Play.</li><li>When playback starts, tap the screen to see the player controls.</li><li>Then tap the AirPlay icon.</li><li>Select your Apple TV as shown below:</li><li>The stream will take a moment to switch to your Apple TV. The screen on your device might go blank during this time.&nbsp;</li><li>When playback starts on the Apple TV, your phone/iPad will show the player controls and allow you to use your device as a remote control:</li><li>Once the content starts playing on your Apple TV, your phone/iPad will then show the player controls and the title that is playing.</li></ul>How do I stop AirPlay?&nbsp;<ul><li>On your phone/iPad, tap on the playback window, or swipe up from the bottom of your screen to open Control Center.</li><li>Then tap on the AirPlay icon.</li><li>Tap the name of your device.</li><li>This will not stop playback but rather divert normal playback back to your phone/iPad, and you can then control it entirely on your device if you wish.</li></ul>Common issues<ul><li>Airplay doesn&#39;t work because your phone/iPad has an older iOS version.</li><li>Airplay doesn&#39;t work because your Apple TV is an older model.</li><li>Ensure that the Mirroring option is not selected.</li><li>If you see the video on the Apple TV but don&#39;t hear audio, ensure that the Ring/Silent switch is not set to silent on your phone/iPad.</li></ul>
